We're all football fans and we all have our own opinions, but social media has granted us another aspect of discourse beyond what's purely on the pitch - journalism. We are more behind the scenes than ever and everyone has got something to say, whether that's on the integrity of a certain transfer rumour or the reliability of a particular journalist. Football writers and journalists, meanwhile, can be an egoistical sort (hello) and often end up in spats online. They are human, can get jealous, be offended if called out - and everything is on the line for them as their career is a lot to do with their own profile. Where does that leave you? I would say the key principle would be to stay out of such arguments. It's not a good look to be constantly going back with someone. I have been guilty of it, engaging in debate, but honestly when I think about it, the best people I follow never argue - they come across funny, write well, informative, reliable, etc. Say hello or ask further questions @jac_talbot Facebook: www.facebook.com/jacquetalbot Twitch: @jacquetalbot
