The Intercity 125 High Speed Train (or HST) formed of Class 43 power cars in top and tail mode at work on the UKs Mainlines. I have raided my archive to put together this collection of clips featuring the High Speed Train (HST), which was also known as the Intercity 125 when first introduced in the 1970s. The train is powered by Class 43 power cars in top and tail mode. The final section takes a look at Network Rails New Measurement Train (NMT) also know as the Flying Banana. A variety of train operating companies are featured including Great Western Railway GWR, Virgin Trains East Coast, London and North Eastern Railway LNER, Grand Central and Midland Mainline which later became East Midland Trains EMT. Filmed at the following locations; Great Western Mainline (GWML) South Stoke, South Marston and Bourton East Coast Mainline (ECML) Langford, Woodwalton (or Wood Walton), Sandy and Little Wymondley Midland Mainline (MML) Irchester, East Hyde, Ayres End, Ampthill and Radwell.
