@butteryb00ty5 years ago Make sure you wash your pillow cases and clean your cell phone daily sometimes that’s why we keep breaking out in the same area it might not be the case for you but just a tip. Also moisturizer first and then oil because oil creates a barrier that moisturizer can’t penetrate. That might make a difference for the level of moisture you’re trying to reach. Hope it helps and it doesn’t offend lol I’m sure you know what you’re doing but you might not have known those simple things. Also if you’re stressing that will cause you to break out so try to relax and enjoy! ... 84

@nvpr87205 years ago I understand you're concerned with hyperpigmentation and old scars that never go away but you shouldn't exfoliate 4 different ways in one seating, be careful y'all! 25

@tamarrasymone84105 years ago I really don’t wanna be THAT GAL who comes off as a know it all, I’m only commenting because I’ve literally struggled with acne ALLLLL my life and it’s thee most frustrating thing ever. A couple months ago my skin was the worst it’s ever been. I tried absolutely everything saw so many dermatologists and NOTHING worked. I was so frustrated I stopped using everything. I came across a company called DHC and it’s a Korean skin care line. I started using their mild cleaners and their rich moisturizer and that’s it. I simplified my routine and IMMEDIATELY saw huge improvements in my skin. When I’m telling you I haven’t had a pimple in 2 months I’m not kidding. Not a single one. This has never ever happened in my life. I used to wake up with at least 3-5 new breakouts daily! I understand you’re a beauty influencer and part of your job is trying new products and I’m sure they are great ones too. But sometimes we over do it and it does more damage than good. So I guess I would just encourage you to try and simplify things. With acne prone skin it can feel like we need to do more to stop the breakouts but out skin doesn’t need that. I also know everyone’s skin is different and what works for me may not work for you but I just know I wished someone would’ve told me that years ago and saved me the headache.
You’re beautiful Sym, acne or no acne! I hope this helps 😘

@catemmeline1365 years ago I work for the practice of the doctor that helped create first aid beauty, the number one thing they always tell us is don’t use oils on acne prone skin (which i had terribly). i’m someone who looves using natural oils so I never wanted to listen to them—but ever since I stopped using oils on my face I stopped breaking out. just a tip! ... 1

@alexuseastt5 years ago I did the big chop a few years ago and started the hair vitamins. I found that if you don’t drink enough water with those that will cause your skin to break out. Also I have dry and sensitive skin too and using less products in my routine helped stop the breakouts. I cleanse with hot water, witch hazel to tone then moisturize. Just a tip and thought I’d share! Love your channel & music btw ❤️❤️ ... 3

@anisamorgan61915 years ago I’ll be honest, a lot of products that she’s using aren’t productive for problematic skin. My advice is to swap some of these products for natural alternatives. I know some of you must roll your eyes at this comment but I’m 24 & suffered with acne & scars. I’ve managed to keep my skin clear for the past 3 years through incorporating natural products like aloe Vera, Shea butter, olive oil etc. I don’t exfoliate often but I use chemical exfoliates like AHA/BHA (these are much better for acne then physically scrubbing your face). Make your own stuff, don’t buy into these expensive mass marketed products, your mainly paying for water. ... 33

@lizpena10085 years ago Try a turmeric & aloe Vera mask ! You blend a few spoons of turmeric powder with aloe Vera gel (straight from the plant 🌱) & you can use it everyday if needed. Your scars & dark spots will be sooo much lighter after a couple of uses. ... 13

@Hon_374735 years ago I’ve been a long time follower and I love your personality 💫 I just have a suggestion, maybe you can look up and try derma e scar gel. It works really well for stubborn hyperpigmentation and scarring. It really helped me a lot since i’ve been dealing with some acne scarring for almost 10 years now. Also, sometimes our acne/skin concerns can be reminders for us to take things easy and to make time for ourselves. We shouldn’t forget to relax sometimes and just put ourselves first. Let’s claim that 2019 will be for continued self-growth and self-care. 🌻 ... 1

@MissMimi9635 years ago I have the exact same type skin as you (medium tone/acne prone with dark spots/hyperpigmentation) so this was really helpful! I've been following you for a while and your skin has definitely improved. Just a tip, you should try putting a hot damp towel on your skin for 1-2 mins before masking, kinda like a mini steam so that the products really penetrate the skin (obviously do what works for you, but I found that this extra step works for me). Also check out Liah Yoo on youtube, her videos are super informative on skincare (esp. skincare ingredients) :) ... 8

@Rosewtr_5 years ago So pretty ☺️
Try finding a Chinese Medicine Practitioner!
It would definitely help with getting a deeper understanding of the root of your breakouts,
Breaking out on one side of the face indicates the kidneys and liver need some support... getting hydration on a cellular level is important, juice 16oz of celery and drink first thing in the morning, try this for a month and see how you like the results!... ☺️
For me, I incorporated fasting with juices along with Chinese medicine protocols, and colon cleansing (with prune juice) & colon hydrotherapy and it has helped my skin so much, and I feel a lot better too!
    Hope you consider it

@TheZchristina975 years ago Hey girl, this is late but I have problem skin just like you. Hyperpigmentation, bumps on my cheeks/chin etc. I've learned that less can sometimes be more. I used to be like you, applying a cocktail of products and I learned that using a harsh face wash + exfoliating + serums etc. caused my skin to "freak out" which lead to inflammation which lead to MORE breakouts. all that to say, I'm sure you get sick of skin advice from strangers (Lord knows I do) but I've been watching you for awhile and I just thought I'd throw my two cents in. It helped me quite a bit. ...

@SelladoConAmor5 years ago Great video...I'd love to hear about your experience with the Murad Acne Pills...when I suffered from horrible acne I tried those but I found they did not work...if anything my skin was worse when I stopped taking them.

@kyiayoung52245 years ago I started watching YouTube videos that showed a lot of people with beaucoup products in their routine. Thinking I could do the same, my skin started to breakout tremendously after I kept using so many skin care products. My skin is similar to yours: combination, sensitive, and acne-prone. During my dermatologist appt. last week, she told me sensitive and acne-prone skin SHOULD NOT have so many steps in their skin care routine. I understand everyone is different, but make sure you take this into consideration because I thought it was the end of the world when I started to have so many blemishes, and come to find out my skin was just having a bad reaction to so many products in my routine. ...

@datgreekgal5 years ago I don't wanna sound like a know-it-all person, but I think that you exfoliate too much. The scrub alone is enough, those pads are too much for your sensitive skin. <3 9
