** I have learned from a couple people that recyclable plastic tends to disintegrate over time... I had no idea! So use the recyclable plastic bags at your own risk.** We are continuing to fill the cardboard dollhouse with furniture! Today let's focus on the bedroom ;) A bed, a vanity and a rug with free patterns below in the description! Thank you Paula for creating the digital versions of the patterns!!! #bentleyhouseminis #miniatures PATTERNS: Bed JPG: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1lbXlO5wxf_PxD26zl3OU677mwccHBjAh/view?usp=sharing (THIS HAS BEEN UPDATED to add the piece that I mention is optional so it will look a little different) Bed PDF: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1TCXI6Gv38KLxAmA-wgfJbcrrOwyAjVEA/view?usp=sharing (THIS HAS BEEN UPDATED to add the piece that I mention is optional so it will look a little different) Bed SVG: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1X-OEYrVpxSMeD8q1WfboiJNZPivdWMXV/view?usp=sharing SVG INFO PAGE: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jZmb9RT0KLw0d7rZ-RAEgWEJxfghRE81/view?usp=sharing Vanity JPG Page1: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SLsFKqpMv2_lDa_KAu5tMXENYtsYmVji/view?usp=sharing Vanity JPG Page2: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1gLAzJPd6i0W2MYQxAS8ltQ11bgKtT-nk/view?usp=sharing Vanity PDF: https://drive.google.com/file/d/14WWQpyLummmW8qAsBMtVHidHebEwSOgB/view?usp=sharing Vanity SVG: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1irAp6olVO1MzLNaA9CYdbxUQzZvxbZYa/view?usp=sharing SVG INFO PAGE: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jZmb9RT0KLw0d7rZ-RAEgWEJxfghRE81/view?usp=sharing Sign up for my EMAIL LIST for lots of updates every Friday!: http://madmimi.com/signups/52d0b7fb07c94a5293af770d39c924ff/join Social Media Info: ***If you are looking for some behind-the-scenes type BLOG/VLOG content make sure to check out my PATREON PAGE: https://www.patreon.com/bentleyhouseminis -YOUTUBE LIVE STEAM: 2nd Friday Each month -INSTAGRAM: www.instagram.com/bentleyhouseminis -FACEBOOK: www.facebook.com/bentleyhouseproductions -WEBSITE/SHOP: https://www.bentleyhouseminis.com/ -TWITTER: https://twitter.com/bentley_h_minis -BitCHUTE: https://www.bitchute.com/channel/LWIshYEMkRqG/ Music Info: Morning Mandolin

@dianecolley2164منذ 4 سنوات Love the quirkiness of your designs. I worry about using recyclable plastic though, it disintegrates and shatters. It has been my experience to find shares of it in the bottom of my crafting drawers! 35
  • @
@MarySteinacker-Grimmقبل 3 أشهر This is great to hear that recyclable plastic disintegrates over time! This means that the world will not be overcome by plastic!

That said I am busy making a bigger cardboard mouse house for my id="hidden3" class="buttons"> daugter since the mice need to have a bathroom ( mamma mouse told my daughter!) So enjoying watching this series again.

@JustMe-vt6ieمنذ 4 سنوات Omg! This is changing my life! Joint compound and glue.wow. I am so into this cardboard recycle concept. The plastic bags are awesome, I used some id="hidden4" class="buttons"> white ones to make sheer like curtains in the bathroom. They also make pretty believable shower curtains! I have used quilted paper towels for pill and mattress covers. Mod Pog (?) helps it keep its shape . Looks a lot more comfortable than it is lol, but it works and looks like quilted fabric. @rainsongt189منذ 4 سنوات These pieces of furniture are wonderful. I really like the contrast of the gold embellishments with the brown "wood" furniture. The gold helps id="hidden8" class="buttons"> coordinate the fabrics you used into the color scheme. One little tip I learned from my husband--when making a mirror use a black paint pen/marker to go around the edge of the frame before putting it in place. This will help hide the edge of the mirror in the reflection. He learned this the hard way with his first medicine cabinet project. When it was finished, we could see the cut edge of the mirror in the reflection. I can't wait to see what you do next with this project! ....وسعت 2

@Marialla.منذ 4 سنوات I absolutely love your idea to use joint compound, or joint compound thinned with glue, to smooth your cardboard creations! That is genius. I'm dying id="hidden9" class="buttons"> to make a similar house now!
BTW, I've been a fan of My Froggy Stuff for years, but I just might have a new favorite miniature artist! She is really great, don't get me wrong. But your style is exactly what I've been looking for!

The bow ties seem appropriate, but also id="hidden11" class="buttons"> orzo or little rice shapes could be good. Maybe lentils? I would especially love to see alphabet noodles used to make a saying wafting across a wall or something. They would look so amazing with your drybrushing techniques to highlight them! ....وسعت 4

It’s amazing what can be created. Perhaps use tissue paper to make your rugs.

@Chill1332منذ 4 سنوات That rug! I never would have thought of using plastic bags for that. The texture really is perfect. And I'm loving how you are bringing all the furniture together with those little cutouts. 1
  • @
@carrie4910منذ 4 سنوات Awesome job! I love the creative use of the plastic bags and qtips. You could probably make the rug using the same steps but twisted material if you don’t have or want to use plastic bags. BIG thank you for the patterns! I think i shall have a go at the bed. Im thinking of cutting a half circle to go on top of the curtain holdy thingy (cant remember what you called it lol!) to cap it off and add a little bit of difference to the design. Can’t wait to see the rest of the furniture, its such a sweet little project. ....وسعت 3

@georgecunningham9175منذ 4 سنوات Fabrics for miniature work: I hoard used fabric in solids and small prints, etc. because used fabric is usually slightly worn and much softer, thus it id="hidden29" class="buttons"> is easier to drape, etc. Silk neck ties are great for curtains/drapes - usually small patterns and the fabric is cut on the bias so it drapes and gathers wonderfully. Blanket binding and light-weight, wide ribbon are great - no need to hem the sides if the width is right. I have also hoarded the linings from old handbags and clothing, lace trimmings, braid and embroidery from used items and so much more.
PS for a mattress that will not be dressed, old jersey knit fabric (t-shirt) works nicely because it will stretch, etc.

@signaltomeمنذ 4 سنوات As promised here is a new video. I must say the cardboard dollhouse got lots of mileage, I wasn't sure when you started but this is actually lots of id="hidden31" class="buttons"> fun. I hope you enjoy making this as well or that would be a bummer. It seems like it though so good work as usual.
I wondered about the rug at the start and I could have never guessed it was made from a plastic bag. I suspected when you started to use them for the project though. ;-) Now I forgot you made the inhabitant of the house, have to go back and watch that now.

You have such cool ideas for working with cardboard, I can’t wait to start my own project soon :) I think you could probably crochet with the plastic bag by cutting it into one long strand by kind of zig-zagging rather than cutting strips off, if that makes sense - I bet that could make for some cool wicker-looking objects with a bit of paint !! ....وسعت 4
