During a hearing on Monday, Trump Organization CFO Allen Wiesselberg said that the organization can expect more indictments in the near future. They also revealed that an addition THREE MILLION pages of tax documents were found in a "co-conspirator's basement," opening up a whole new realm of potential indictments. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what's happening  and where the investigation could go from here. Yesterday was a big day for the prosecutors in the state of New York looking into the Trump organization. Allen Weisselberg's attorney is back in court, warning the court that, hey, we have reason to believe there's more indictments coming down the pipeline. And of course the biggest bombshell of all was when Weisselberg's lawyer told the judge, hey, we just found out and got our hands on 3 million documents that had been hidden in the basement of a co-conspirator and yes, judge, these are tax documents hidden, again, in a co-conspirators basement. So we need a little time to go through these 3 million basement documents. Now I am not a lawyer. Okay. I am not a judge. I am not even an accountant. But I got to tell you when you're investigating an organization for possible tax fraud, and one of the people who you're already looking at, and you've labeled as a co-conspirator, when you find 3 million tax documents hidden in a corner in their basement, uh, that's a pretty big red flag. That's probably a pretty good indication that some kind of criminal activity took place here, because that is usually not where you store tax documents. Certainly not 3 million of them. But that is what they found. And that is what Weisselberg's attorneys are now saying, listen, we got to go through this. So the big question is why, right? These weren't Weisselberg's, you know, he didn't have them hidden in his basement. These were somebody else hiding them in the basement. First and foremost question is who's hiding them? Second of all, why do Weisselberg's lawyers, why are they so intent on going through all these documents, right? Weisselberg's already been charged and indicted. You know, right now we're going through the motions, trying to find out when that trial is going to be, but they want time to go through the documents. And I have a theory about that. This is just a theory. But my theory is that these lawyers want the opportunity to go through these documents, to see what they show about Weisselberg himself, to see what they show about other individuals out there who may have dirt on Weisselberg or vice versa. So that way, before we get to an actual trial, Weisselberg's lawyers could advise him whether or not he may want to change his plea agreement and agree to then cooperate with the remainder of the investigation. That's what this is about. I think. I could be wrong. I don't think I am. But I do believe Weisselberg's lawyers are out there to get their hands on as much information as possible to make sure their client doesn't shoot himself in the foot by pleading, not guilty, not taking a plea deal. And now 3 million basement documents show up that could absolutely change the game. The investigation is still ongoing, obviously, a lot of the court proceedings have been sealed. So that means the grand jury is actually still be, still there, still doing their job, still going through evidence and documents. And as Weisselberg's lawyer said, more indictments are coming down the pipeline. So, you know, maybe hold off on our trial til we see who else is going down. And again, I think that has a lot to do with maybe Weisselberg is starting to think, going to jail is not that good of an idea if he has information to roll on people at the organization who might be a little bit bigger than him. And I think we all know who those people are.
