We're hosting Online Research Talks to keep communications open during physical distancing measures. This webinar was in partnership with neuromatch, the online unconference for computational neuroscience, with onlines talks and sessions on March 30-31, 2020 – find the agenda at neuromatch.io/agenda. The talks were chaired by Detlef Weigel, Deputy Editor of eLife, Max Planck Institute for Developmental Biology, Germany. Featuring three early-career researchers presenting their work: (1) Striatal function and its role in goal directed action: a (learning) update presented by Dr Miriam Matamales, University of New South Wales (2) Perception and encoding of temporally fluctuating odour stimulus in mice presented by Debanjan Dasgupta, The Francis Crick Institute, United Kingdom (3) Interneurons intelligent operations: It's a matter of nonlinear dendrites presented by Alexandra Tzilivaki, Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Germany Speakers presented a 10 minute talk with their research followed by 5 minutes questions from live viewers.
