@kittyfruitloop82643 years agoI really enjoy your videos, I would LOVE if you include the written notes with the chord progressions since I rarely look at my hands when I'm playing so it's hard to think what the chord is when looking at your hands. But I would memorize it better if I could read the music as you play or maybe as an additional short. Thanks! ...23

@lequedicatsamarge42283 years agoThat's how it is supposed to be done. There is a rule in harmony theory, which forces you to prevent parallel movements of 5ths and 8ths. In this example it would be c->a and parallel g->e (parallel movement of a 5th). This rule was very strict back in the days (barock epoche coming to mind), but is more or less neglected since the late romantic epoche. However, in plane 3-tone-chords, I highly recommend sticking with the rule. So, not even is it easier to play, the voicing also sounds much better. ...

@c0unterac3423 years agoPlaying inversions is encouraged not because it's easier but it sounds WAY better...start using inversions and think in Nashville Numbers- not letters 😉
