@TheAWAdamson4 years ago I am a novice knitter, but have been crocheting since I was a kid. The patterns you show are lovely and the color combinations...WOW! Gorgeous. And, yes, I love both knitting and crocheting with high quality fibers. Crocheting up scarves and shawls in fingering weight makes for beautiful items. ...

@cheryldowd69164 years ago So many beautiful colors. I need to crochet a shawl out of your yarn. Really pretty results. I so appreciate the medical personnel and first responders. In working for the Gas and Electric company I am partial and so grateful for the Linemen and Gas Mechanics who keep the lights on and the gas flowing all year round in whatever weather is out there. When you turn your light on to stitch or hear the whirr of your sewing machine think of them. ...

@laurap.77944 years ago Thanks for the shout out to nurses :-) I've been a nurse for 26 years! Most people would be appalled to know how some patients are rude and nasty to us...and in my case, since I work with babies, the parents!! So, it's nice to have some appreciation...it's a hard job...mentally, physically and emotionally. ...

@robinmccamont4 years ago Love your podcast, ladies! And great examples for your crochet viewers...! BTW, Mary Beth, the word “segue” is pronounced “SEG-way”. It means “to lead from one thing to another,” as in one topic of conversation segues nicely into another, or one piece of music segues beautifully into the next, etc. Have a nice day! ...

@BooBoo-gk8jh4 years ago My first project with Toad Hollow yarn was crochet. My first yarn purchase was last years Halloween Advent. I looked at it for a couple of months and then caked them still not knowing what I was going to make. They were so soft and beautiful and smelled so good I decided to crochet myself a throw size blanket. It’s a perfect little throw that can be folded in half for a wrap or folded into a triangle as a shawl. I’ve found that this yarn is just perfect for knitting and crochet. 🙃 ...

@amymikelson30604 years ago Beautiful crochet. Helen, I'm in on the Ziggy Interrupted Shawl. You sucked me in on the HAED, so what the heck. I don't know if you've seen the Ziggy that Kristy Glass did, she'd got a finished object video on it. She used mini skeins from two different advent calendars. I think she said she ended up using 24 minis total. It is STUNNING! ...

@nancymarchefka32444 years ago Hi MaryBeth and Helen just checking in to see you have not been knitting for awhile if I do it’s mostly baby sport team sweaters I donate to a local hospital gift shop along with a book and baby toy as a gift set, not sure if that will still happen so taking a break doing a crocheted baby blanket right now and have not bought any yarns , the last three yrs I bought so much yarn Now have a yarn shop upstairs in my house in Ma and also in Florida there is a extensive collection. Needless to say I have to knit and crochet through all the yarn I have . I am glad you both have crochet patterns and samples last year I made one of my favorite blanket with some of my fingering weight yarns. I used two strands and chained a width I wanted and did a granny stitch pattern for the whole length it worked up so fast it was really surprising took mw a week and it was finished when I ran out of one color I used the magic knot and just added another color for the border I did one row of granny stitch around the outside. There might be a pattern on Ravelry it’s not the granny square pattern . Have a great day I watch you often...🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻 ...

@susangerbosi72484 years ago Yay for crochet! There are so many modern designers out now who are putting out great patterns that move away from the 'granny square' rap that crochet usually gets. Now, I love a good granny square (like your blankets) . . . nothing against granny squares. Just saying that crochet can be very on trend in designs. Remember, crochet and cool both start with a C. ...

@lisacefali20524 years ago Did you come out with a different version of Moonstone? @elins45324 years ago Mary Beth- On your Habitation Throw with mini skeins, are you going to the very end and changing colors regardless of where you are at in a row? Or are you changing at the end of the row when you don't have enough left to complete a row? I am making one with minis and changing at the ends, but end up with little nuggets of yarn left. I'm also not sure when to start decreasing. Thanks. I just love using minis. ...
