They threw in Anas tardigrade and glowing spores to give it some extra flair. It had problems, but it was passable and seemed like a decent start to a franchise, something that you id="hidden25" class="buttons"> could build upon. Then they just screw the pooch in subsequent movies and you realize that the first movie (TFA/ST2009) was a horrible foundation. Oh, and specific to JJ, he has no concept of time-distance as a plot constraint. He does it again and again. ST Into Darkness, ROS both have idiotic franchise breaking instantaneous travel. ....وسعت
