Directed by Karan Malhotra and produced by Dharma Productions, Lionsgate Films and Endemol India the movie stars Akshay Kumar, Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez in lead roles. Brothers VFX showreel. Live action shoot was about 3 months.The central ring was built and about 4 rows of seats with 150 extras. Think there was something like 1800 vfx shots of just the stadium . Literally half the film is vfx shots. Full cgi stadium , 60000 strong cgi crowd and hardly any time to do it. We were given the biggest reel 3 weeks before the deadline , 900 shots of full cgi environment and crowd in 3 weeks. We were literally doing these shots in less than 48 hours each. The clinet was late with giving us continuity information for the various displays so we had to add them in at the last moment once the main comp was approved using UV passes. When the film came out the DOP had people asking him where he found such a massive arena to let us shoot in for 3 months!
