IBM 5100 Screen Crawl (VCF West XI demo)

From VCF West XI. IBM 5100 demo. Unfortunately more programs weren't ready to be shown off at the show, as the quarter-inch cartridge (QIC) tapes have not aged well over the years. Even a brand new, 35 year old cartridge right out of the plastic wrap was found to be unreadable. The program you see here had to be transcribed by hand. However, I was told by Wayne Smith that there is a fellow who develops brand new, IBM 5100 compatible cartridges. Maybe next time we see this machine in action, we'll have more programs to play with. APL and BASIC? Green on black? I'm looking forward to it.
