In this Beastly special, we meet the ‘Gator Queens’ who have dedicated their lives to the well-being of their scaly friends. First up, we’re in Florida with gator-wrestling superstar Gabby Scampone. This brave 22-year-old volunteers at the Everglades Holiday Park, putting on ‘gator shows’ for the public and rescuing nuisance gators from local properties. Next, we meet Shannon Saurage at the Gator Country rescue facility in Texas. Once a corporate high-flyer, Shannon has since traded her high heels to spend her days with Mr Cuddles – an 11ft, 500lb alligator. Finally, we’re with 57-year-old Mary Thorn; a former professional wrestler who has taken things one step further with her love of gators… She now shares her bedroom with a 6ft 6”, 200lbs reptilian beast called Rambo.
